Fixing a Hole… Stop My Mind From Wandering…

So I had hoped that this blog would be a feast of reason, flow of soul kind of place, but until then… Is there anything more irritating in the world than waiting for repair guys / painters / plumbers etc. to come by to do whatever it is that they do? No, I didn’t think so. Seven hours have I sat in this house, adding to my ToDo List, spending money on JCrew.com, eating, all things whose opposite I wanted to do today, waiting for Cooper to show up to paint (badly, if the previous paint job is his) the hallways. Perhaps this is as far as class warfare goes in this country; blue-collar workers don’t strike or picket or torch or guillotine, they just no-show after seven hours of waiting. It makes me want to use my own guillotine… which of course I’ll have to pay someone else to build and operate… I bet he shows up seven hours late… bastard…

Light That Never Goes Out…

For various reasons I haven’t written. One of them being that I always felt as though post-Katrina life in New Orleans was the light I was reflecting. Today I’m going to find a new source and, perhaps one day, even generate my own. StoreyMan set me up with this and with a brief impromptu sketch of discipline.

So, now to start doing or reading or thinking something worth telling you about. Hmmm… I’ll be back… I love saying that!
